Het was weer een fraai rekenwerkje. 126 unieke entries van 34 verschillende muziekliefhebberts geeft – zoals gebruikelijk – weer aan dat er bijzonder veel muziek uitgekomen is, echt voor elk wat wils. De winnaar van conXies’ Album van het Jaar 2020 is wel redelijk afgetekend: 8 maal genoemd, waarvan 2 keer als favoriet. Wat dat laatste betreft doet de nummer 2 het nog nét even beter: drie mensen vonden dát hun Album van het Jaar 2020.

Fontaines D.C. doet iets wat we nog niet eerder hebben gezien bij deze verkiezing: voor het tweede jaar op rij het meest gekozen album leveren. Een topprestatie!
